The Next Best Thing Blog Hop

I've been tagged by Charlene Wilson to give an update of what I've been writing lately. Here's the scoop:

What is your working title of your book?

"Rescued By a Duke"

Where did the idea come from for the book?

I'd just had my first Regency Romance about a Duke published in November and wanted to give another Regency a try.

What genre does your book fall under?

Historical Romance, Regency Romance

Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition?

Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansen

What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?

An attraction forms between a handsome duke and the woman he rescues from certain death after she's fallen into an abandoned well.

Will your book be self-published or published by an agency?

By a small, independent publisher.

How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?

Three to four months.

What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?

It's kind of a "Cinderella" story, when the duke rescues the girl from her life of poverty to a life with him.

Who or what inspired you to write this book?

My publisher had a call out for Christmas Regency Romances, so I wrote "Time for a Duke" as my first Regency. This will be my second.

What else about your book might pique the reader's interest?

Aside from the hero and the heroine, there's a cat in the story. All of my books have at least one cat in them!

I've tagged Mysti Parker. Check out her blog to see what she's been up to!
